The Challenge

DWR CYMRU have a large head office in Newport South Wales and they wanted to make their energy usage more efficient and improve the working environment for their staff.

The Project

After experimenting with several brands of 600x 600 LED luminaires and different control systems Elkay were chosen to control the DALI luminaire ballasts fitted with the dimmable LED panels.

The Solution

Elkay along with their installation partner VINCI Facilities provided a test area along a window for the easyDALi Occupancy Sensor and set up 3 groups controlling 9 luminaires. After two weeks in situ, the team at Dwr Cymru, decided to roll out the program on the whole floor and this was completed to everyone’s continuing satisfaction. A second major office in Nelson was also upgraded with the same system following the success of the first system.
